We recently renewed our cyber essentials certification at ILECS, to proactively protect our systems and organisation from common cyber-attacks and threats. Through our certification, we are demonstrating our proactive approach to preventing common cybersecurity issues from taking place and potentially putting company and client information at risk. Although Cyber Essentials is recommended, it is not a mandatory scheme.
The accreditation ensures that we can maintain trust in our systems and showcase our various steps to ensure we treat cyber security with the utmost importance. With the Cyber Essentials scheme being government-backed, this will also open other doors for ILECS in dealing with and managing relations with government sectors and clients who require a strict cyber security policy to be in place before working with contractors.
Having the certification will impact both ILECS and our client’s security positively. It will provide peace of mind for our clients that our systems and their data will be protected against common cyber attacks.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve our security and systems to benefit clients and keep all data as safe as possible. The importance of cybersecurity cannot be overstated, especially today, where the vast majority of company data and information is stored on systems potentially vulnerable to cyber-attacks. This risk is why we must treat cyber security with utmost importance and continue to do so.
